Jigsaw

After the Jigsaw game starts up again that bears similarity with the original jigsaw killer who has been dead for a decade, law officials must answer whether Jigsaw is alive or if this new game is a new killer with his own malevolent scheme.

Cinematography: 11/20

The cinematography in Jigsaw is unique from the rest of the rest of the franchise, but this is barely a positive, the unique look allows it to differ itself from Saw but that cinematography makes this film feel extremely generic. some cool songs on the soundtrack particularly "Cycle Trap" cannot save this films overall generic feel.

Main Cast: 3/20

The Main cast to say the least is atrocious, the only standout as being somewhat competent being the detective character.

Supporting Cast: 1/20

There is only one point awarded for the supporting cast because of Tobin Bell's appearance otherwise all the supporting characters are awful.

Originality: 9/20

The only thing original about Jigsaw is the direction it takes the franchise. which is into a dead end.

Story: 2/20

The one thing that saves the story is the 15 minute ending sequence which is a better film than this could ever hope to be.

Overall: 26/100 (Fail)

Jigsaw is one of the most below average films i have ever seen, it is not so bad that its one of the worst films ever made but it's not so good to even be considered a worth while watch. It's disservice to the franchise is the films biggest mistake and taking a different direction towards a generic and often times boring film really drag down the score for me. The main saving grace of the film is the detective character and the brief appearance of Tobin Bell but other than that this is a very disappointing and mostly intolerable film.
